How To Sell
Selling at Abbeys Auctions is easy!
Items for Auction must be clean and in good condition.
Bring your items in to our showroom or email your photos and obtain a free valuation from one of our friendly and competent staff.
We can come to you and give a verbal valuation as to what we expect your items to realise at auction. This service is free and there is no obligation to sell. Written valuations can also be provided for a fee.
Phone our office to arrange for our professional carriers to collect your items to be included in our next auction.
A Commission of 16.5% will be deducted from the bid price.
Payment will be made three business days after sale. Collect your payment in person or ask for a cheque to be mailed to you.
We receive goods on Mondays & Tuesdays 9am to 4pm and on Wednesdays 9am to midday
How To Buy
Anyone can Buy with confidence at Abbeys Auctions!
Abbeys Auctions are open to the general public.
Register: Obtain a bidding number by completing a registration card and lodging a refundable $50 deposit.
View: Inspect goods at our rooms the day prior to the auction between 9am and 7pm. Obtain a catalogue at our office or online.
We can provide an estimate of what we expect an item to bring at auction, however as with any Public Auction, the actual price on the day will be determined by the bidders in the room.
Often it is helpful to have plan of how much you are willing to pay before bidding.
Bid: Come to the sale to bid, or leave an absentee bid with our office, or book a phone bid. If you are unsure about how to bid our friendly staff will be happy to assist you.
Collect: Collect your items on Auction Day before 6pm or have them delivered on the next business day. Weekend deliveries can also be arranged.
Charges: A Buyers Premium of 18% (incl GST) applies to all purchases and is added to the bid price. This sale is conducted on a GST inclusive basis.
